Hello and welcome to this year’s fourth and final edition of “Get to Know Your Seniors”. We hope you have learned a lot about your most experienced NCAI students and learned a lot from them. Enjoy these final senior interviews.

Gabriela Saldaña: 

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“Competitive, determined, and caring.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

“Since pre-k one and it has been okay.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

“I plan to go to the U.S. to study. I don’t know what I want to study yet, but we’ll figure that out when we get there.”

What are your hobbies and why?

“I like playing soccer and I like it because it’s a very competitive sport and I can get the stress out.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at NCA? 

“Profe Eric Quiroz because he is a teacher that I feel like you can open up to without being judged and he gives good advice.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

“Don’t procrastinate.”

Antonella Vílchez:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“I would describe myself as determined, quiet, and hardworking.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

“I have been at NCA since pre-k one and my experience has been pretty chill and memorable.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

“I want to go to college and study industrial engineering.”

What are your hobbies and why?

“One of my hobbies is to embroider. I like to embroider because it’s very calming and interesting.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at NCA?

“Mrs. Stuebner. She’s just a very great person.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

“Don’t get lazy, work hard, and don’t let school consume you.”

Hilary Sequeira:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“Loud, funny, and hyper.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

“I’ve been at NCA since kindergarten, so I’ve been here for 13 years and my experience has been great because I have got to create a lot of friendships and mentors.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

“I’m planning on going to college and if God permits it I’m going to be studying civil engineering.”

What are your hobbies and why?

“My main hobby is playing soccer. I just love soccer and I love to play soccer. It’s entertaining for me.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at NCA?

“I think it has been Ms. Stuebner and Ms. Uhl. Ms. Stuebner because I have had a relationship with her that has grown over the years and it’s become really strong and I know that if I need something she’s always going to be there. And Ms. Uhl because she has made me feel more comfortable with myself and she is really supportive.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

“Enjoy your highschool years. All of your secondary years.”

Hye Sung Lee:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“Sarcastic, funny, and down to earth.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

 “This is my thirteenth year at NCA and I have just enjoyed the experience as a whole and I’ve enjoyed how the place has developed over time.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

 “I plan to go to college and probably get a job as I’m in college.”

What are your hobbies and why?

 “One thing is I enjoy walking a lot and it can involve hiking or just going through town because I can just enjoy the view and it helps me clear my mind.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at  NCA?

 “Mrs. Stuebner. Her methods of teaching really helped me learn and think critically and also herself as a person has taught me valuable lessons and to mature.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

 “Don’t stress about your future as much as you should worry about your friends and your life in general as it is now because eventually it will turn out okay and your life will be different no matter what.”
