Get To Know Your Seniors Part.2

Welcome back to “Get To Know Your Seniors!” It is important to know the people who have been at NCA for a while now. They have experienced ups and downs, but overall enjoyed NCA and will miss it dearly when they leave. In addition to getting to know the oldest students at NCA, this article contains helpful advice for lowerclassmen getting closer and closer to being in the position of the seniors. Don’t forget to watch out for part 3 and 4!

Kyanna Doutt: 

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“Tall, athletic, and kind.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

“I have been at NCA since Pre-K 1 and my experience has been good.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

“I am undecided right now, but I hope to go to college and pursue whatever interests I have.”

What are your hobbies and why?

“I like to play basketball because I find it fun and I like to play board games with my family.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at NCA? 

“I would say Mrs. Uhl because she’s always kind and has a personal connection with all of us, so I think that affects  me a lot.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

“Try your hardest and just do your best no matter what.”

Nathan Holtrop:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“Blond, adventurous, and athletic.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

“I have been at NCA since second grade and my experience has been good.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

“Go to college and I don’t know which one.”

What are your hobbies and why?

“My hobbies include playing sports and doing things on a computer.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at NCA?

“It’s hard to pick just one, but some of them have been Mr. House and Turner. Mr. Turner was [my] P.E. teacher and soccer coach, and Mr. House has been my homeroom teacher and he’s been just a really great chaplain.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

“Don’t be lazy because your habits continue with you for the rest of highschool.”

Ben Lang:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“I would describe myself as tall, athletic, and fun.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

“I’ve been here since second grade, so 10 years and it’s been a good school.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

“I’m planning to go to Liberty University and study aerodynamics.”

What are your hobbies and why?

“I like hunting, fishing, video games, [and] sports just because I enjoy doing them.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at NCA?

“Probably Mr. Barker because he impacts everyone.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

“Do your homework.”

Grace Largaespada:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“I’m fun, passionate, [and] hardworking.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

 “I have been here for an eternity; I’ve been here since Pre-K 2 and my experience has been good.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

 “I plan to go to university and study medicine.”

What are your hobbies and why?

 “I like playing soccer because I like it and I like watching Netflix.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at  NCA?

 “I would say Mrs. Uhl, Mrs. Davila, and Mrs. Solano.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

 “Choose your friends wisely and don’t procrastinate.”  

Johanna Lacayo:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

“Quiet, introverted, and sometimes outgoing if that makes sense.”

How long have you been at NCA and how has your experience been?

“I’ve been at NCA since kindergarten and it’s been great so far.”

What are you planning to do after you graduate?

“Going to college in the States.”

What are your hobbies and why?

“I like to bake and spend time with my dogs and play with them.”

Which teacher has had the biggest impact on you throughout your time at NCA?

“Probably Mr. Quiroz because he likes to befriend us.”

Do you have any advice for lowerclassmen?

“Do your homework and always keep your grades up because it affects your GPA.”
