College Fair

On Wednesday, September 27, NCAI juniors and seniors visited the American Nicaraguan School to participate in the college fair of the Council of International Schools. This college fair consisted of 30 universities, most of which are in the United States, but two were from Canada and Italy. For juniors, this  served as a great catalyst for their college search, something which some juniors mistakenly believe should start in senior year. College representatives described their colleges and what life is like in the area, attempting to enamor the students and encourage them to be active in their college preparation and more specifically, to look into their particular college. NCAI seniors found this event to be a much bigger deal considering the upcoming deadlines. Having begun their college counseling, seniors know that they need to engage in conversation about acceptance rates, test scores, tuition, and aid so that they can find the college that is the perfect fit for them. The university representatives did a great job at providing insightful information about what makes every college unique. In conclusion, this event was a great opportunity for students to think about their future and their possibilities moving forward. So from here on out, it is time for students to freshen up their resume and give it their all during their final months to assure that they submit the best application possible.
