This year has had its ups and downs, but we have made it to the end. It has been full of fun events, moments and memories. Things we will cherish forever. There have been very stressful times, but also very fun ones. Let go over some events and things our student body has accomplished this year.
August, we started off the school year with everyone meeting up with their classmates once again in the open house. Two weeks later we see the boy and girls soccer team meet up against other schools to fight for the win. The girls team won 2nd place in the championship. The next week we see our two highest classes in NCA head off to have fun in the Junior/Senior retreat.
September, Independence Day, we see all the classes prepare a presentation, making memories but also stress. The next day we enjoyed a beautiful display of dances from all the grades at NCA, showcasing our pride for Nicaragua. Next week, Volleyball season begins.
In January, we see all the students come together under one God. Spiritual Emphasis day is one of the favorite events the NCA student body has. Socializing with the team, going to the different sessions and connecting with God in a special way through worship. These moments will stay with us forever.
In February, we participated in the nca StuCo tradition of the heart game. We laughed in class as we saw people being serenaded by Rolando, and his fantastic singing, and receiving candy grams and roses.
March, This month we saw one of our favorite StuCo events, Spirit week. We see a display of students coming dressed up in all sorts of funny ways, taking pictures, and making happy memories at the pep rally. We also saw all our seniors leave to make unforgettable memories and bond at the senior retreat.
April, this month we saw one of the most memorable but nerve-racking events of the year. A small portion of the students of NCA participated in DALE Nicaragua, facing total strangers in intercollegiate debate. We are proud to say many came back with prizes.
We also saw the middle schoolers go to the Ometepe retreat and come back totally exhausted from all the fun. This month we also got to get a whole week and a half off of school, semana santa, a student favorite.
May, all of highschool leave to enjoy a weekend at Jinotega with their friends at the launch retreat. Coming to the end of the school year we start the dreaded assignment of exam prep.
This year has been full of fun memories. And it is beautiful to see how our student body can come together to accomplish great things. Eagle eye wishes you all a great summer, and luck for next school year.
