Mrs. Uhl
How do you think the play is coming together?
“I think everything is going well so far. We have an amazing cast, and they are all doing great. Miss Hoogeveen and I are a little nervous about getting the set done in time, but we remain hopeful.”
What do you think is the best part of this year’s play? Do you find it easy to compare the plays?
“We have a lot of charismatic actors this year! I have already been entertained during rehearsals, so I know the audience will enjoy the show. Every show is so uniquely different that I find it hard to compare them.”
Do you have any comments about the chemistry between Mary Poppins and Bert?
“Some people think there is chemistry between Mary Poppins and Bert, but there really isn’t. He’s a gentleman, and she’s a busy nanny trying to bring a family back together. She doesn’t have time for a relationship, so they are just friends.”
Miss Hoogeveen
How do you think the play is coming together?
“The rehearsals are going great. Everyone in the cast is doing a wonderful job, and we’re already proud of their work. We are just starting on the set and costumes, so I’ll feel relieved once we start making progress there.”
How is this year’s cast?
“We are making great progress so far. I think every single person, no matter how big or small their role is, plays an important part, and it really takes all of us to make it work.”
Any hints about next year’s play?
“No way!”
Mariapaula
How do you think the play is coming together?
“I think the play is coming together really fast because there are fewer people this year. Last year, during Newsies, there were way more people on stage, and we had more areas to work on. With a smaller cast this year, the learning process is going much faster.”
Do you have any comments about the chemistry between Mary Poppins and Bert?
“I think their relationship is less romantic and more of an intimate friendship. They just toy with each other rather than genuinely liking each other romantically. However, they do have their moments, but it’s definitely not a love story.”
Any guesses for next year’s play?
“I have no idea, but if I had to guess, I’d say A Chorus Line or Wicked. Wicked would be so fun!”
