Had you been at a Color Run before this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have never actually participated in the Color Run. However, last year I helped the Seniors a little bit during the Pancake selling. It was a great opportunity to catch a glimpse towards what we\u2019d be experiencing for the year to come. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

How would you describe the experience of being Class President for the event?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

The whole experience of organizing such an event can be hectic and nerve-wracking, for the simple fact that it\u2019s the Senior\u2019s biggest fundraiser. Although stressful for the last three weeks, I can truly say that I had people and advisors who were working alongside me and making the workload lighter. Additionally, the Senior class did an exceptional job on the day of the event. Everyone got there early and were genuinely looking for a way to help out. <\/span><\/p>\n

Seeing this quality in the class, as a peer and President, made the event all the more rewarding, for merely catching a glimpse of all the goals we can accomplish together. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For you, what were the biggest strengths of this year\u2019s Color Run? What are some things it could\u2019ve done better?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The biggest strength of this year\u2019s Color Run were seen on the day of the event. As stated before, all the class were hands-on and working as a team. We also got so much help from family parents and volunteers who made everything work so smoothly. They were definitely a big part of the pillar of this event. <\/span><\/p>\n

As a class, we could\u2019ve gotten more organized beforehand. Difficulties inevitably rise when 27 people are trying to organize an event. However, the class did had an amazing as the day rolled by.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What was it like working with your peers, advisors, and the school to bring the run to fruition?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Again, working with 29 people, including advisors, can get difficult. Nevertheless, I feel that by the end we all got on the same page of \u201cwe\u2019re all in this together.\u201d #ThankYouHSM. <\/span><\/p>\n

There were also classmates who were constantly working. The advisors did an amazing job helping us solve logistics and sorting out details, and administration facilitated financial withdrawals. We also had awesome school parents who decided to sponsor financially for the Color Run, and we are more than grateful for their generous hearts. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What advice would you give future Seniors on organizing an event like this?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Not only start planning ahead of time, but also start <\/span>acting<\/span><\/i> ahead of time. Once you get the approval, start getting sponsors and people to sign-up. As you focus on the roles, don\u2019t forget to <\/span>fulfill<\/span><\/i> the roles. Overall, even though it can sound cheesy, trust that God will make the pieces fit. The Senior class and I can testify how God provided most of the sponsorship needed in the span of two weeks, which like Nicas would say \u201cestabamos contra el chacho.\u201d Most important, don\u2019t forget to enjoy the rollercoaster. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
