- Create a new spreadsheet. Set the page orientation to landscape. Save with the name Window Chart.
- Type the headings in cells A1-A3, using your own name in cell A3. Bold cell A1.
- Type the column headings in cells A5-H5. Highlight row 5 and bold it. Add bottom border.
- Adjust the column widths for all columns.
- Type the labels above “Cost of Trim,” “Cost of Glass,” and “Resale Value” in italic text.

- In cell D6, type a formula for the glass area. Fill down. Center the numbers in column D.
- Wooden trim costs 30¢ per inch, and glass costs 26¢ per square inch. In cells E6 and F6, type formulas for how much the trim and glass will cost. Fill down. Format the numbers as currency.
- In cell G6, type a formula that adds the trim and glass costs for a total. Fill down and format as currency.
- In column H, multiply the total cost by 1.15 to add a 15% markup. Format as currency and shade cells.
- Save the modified file. It will be graded in your folder.
