Use the following guidelines to create a slideshow presentation on a topic of your choice.

  1. Using Encarta Encyclopedia or the Internet, research a topic that you don’t know much about. Examples: nuclear reactor, famous chefs, lobster trapping.
  2. Create a new presentation and select any design template. Choose a title slide for your first slide.
  3. Type an appropriate title and use your name for the subtitle. Do not change the font.
  4. Save the file with the name Free Topic.
  5. Add at least four additional slides and write about different aspects of your topic.
  6. Add pictures as appropriate.
  7. Choose a slide transition and use it for all slides.
  8. Add animation for the main text on all slides except the title slide.
  9. View the slideshow and make sure the animation is in good order. Slide titles should not be animated.
  10. Save the modified file.
  11. Raise your hand and ask your teacher to grade your slideshow on screen.
